The 2022 Utrecht Energy Day edition was a success! We really enjoyed the opportunity to listen to prof. dr. Kornelis Blok’s presentation on Controversy in the World of Energy. Blok is the founder of the Energy Science program and was happy to come back to the University of Utrecht to deliver the keynote. The keynote was followed by a lively discussion panel with two alumni from the master’s program. Johnny Meit and Laurens Frowijn offered very interesting insights into how controversy might be found in their projects and how they deal with this.

Furthermore, we would like to give a big thank you to the companies that gave a workshop to our students! Namely, Accenture, EV Consult, Sia Partners and TenneT. We hope that you enjoyed organizing the workshops as much as our members enjoyed participating in them.

Finally, the network market was online and students had the opportunity to talk to TenneT and Baywa r.e.. It was an informal yet full of knowledge conversation! The companies were very welcoming, and students were able to ask questions regarding the company or the energy sector in general.

Covid proved to be a big challenge this year but we are very happy to have been able to organize the hybrid event and hope that the coming edition will be back to its old glory, in person.
