This month, NRG went on a Study trip. After the successful trips of last years with destinations Vienna and Copenhagen/Malmö, the bar was set. Looking back, we can conclude that with this years’ trip to Bilbao, we maintained that standard. Bilbao is a beautiful upcoming city, shaking off its heavy industrial past and making place for a bright, green future. During the week we visited very interesting companies: the Port of Bilbao, the wave power plant of Ente Vasco de la Energia, Zabalgarbi, Iberdrola, IDOM and ZIV Automation. Next to a taste of the Basque culture and delicious pincho’s, we got a taste of a variety of topics in the field of Energy Science brought in practise and we learned how these contribute to Spain’s transition to a renewable energy future. NRG is already looking forward to the Study Trip of 2019. Thank you all for joining us!
